It impacts everyone around you
Have you noticed that when friends and family are feeling happy and calm, we also feel happy and calm? I personally experience this on a day to day basis. The more happy, smiling people I surround myself, the more I tend to enjoy life and feel fulfilled and content.
And apparently I’m not the only one that feels this way. A recent 20-year study found this to be scientifically true as well. After researching 4,739 individuals from 1983 to 2003, the study concluded that people’s happiness depends on the happiness of others with whom they are connected.
People who are surrounded by happy people are 25% more likely to be happy themselves.
So simply by hanging around other people that are happy, we can make ourselves happier as well.
And it works both ways. The same happens to others when you feel happy and calm.
The beautiful thing about running is that it doesn’t only benefit you, but also the people around you.
Running makes you happier and as a result, makes the people around you happier as well.
So by running, you’re not only making your life better, but also your family, friends, and even coworkers’.
It’s about more than just staying in shape, feeling good, or looking great.
Running literally is a strategy to help keep you and your loved ones happy and smiling.
How’s that for motivation?
So when that self-doubt creeps in, remember that you’re not only bettering yourself, but you're helping to create a happier life for your loved ones as well.
So very literally, the more you run, the happier your friends and family are.
